Which Visa Works for You?
Everyone needs a visa to enter Indonesia. Right here on this site, you can snag either of two online options for tourism or business:
- e-VOA (B1-Tourist)
- Single-Entry Visitor Visa (C1-Tourist, 60 Days)
We’ve laid out all the nitty-gritty—what each visa covers, who can apply, what you’ll need, and how the whole thing works—so you can pick the right one without the headache.
A Quick Look at the e-VOA (B1-Tourist)
Think of the e-VOA as your official green light to visit Indonesia for a short trip. No paperwork, no embassy visits—just fill out the form online, and when it’s approved, the visa lands in your email.

A Quick Look at the C1 Visitor Visa (60 Days)
Staying a bit longer? The C1 is your ticket for trips over 30 days. It gives you 60 days upfront, and you can extend it twice—each time adding another 60 days. That’s up to half a year total in Indonesia. Apply entirely online and receive it the same way: by email.

An e-visa makes things smoother at the airport, but it’s not a magic key. Show your passport and visa to the officer. Just remember: the final “yes” or “no” comes from border control, not the visa approval itself. And don’t skip the Electronic Customs Declaration—every traveler has to do it.
Where You Can Roam
Indonesia is a massive string of over 17,000 islands sitting pretty between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. With a valid visa, you can explore almost every corner. The only spots you can’t go are restricted areas—think military bases and the like. Some of the islands that top every traveler’s list:
- Bali
- Java
- Komodo Island
- Sulawesi
- Sumatra
Frequently Asked Questions
How Soon Will You Get It?
Normally, we process visas in about 1 to 3 business days. In a hurry? Opt for express service and you could have it in under 24 hours. Either way, it comes straight to your email once approved.
Can You Extend While You're There?
You bet—depending on your visa type. The C1 lets you extend twice (60 extra days each time). The e-VOA might also allow one extension, but rules can shift, so check locally or online. Just don’t wait until the last minute.
B1 vs. C1: What's the Real Difference?
It’s all about time. The B1 e-VOA is for short hops—up to 30 days. The C1 is for longer adventures, starting at 60 days and stretching up to 180 with extensions.
What's the Damage? (Cost)
The total cost varies based on which visa you choose and whether you tack on express processing. You’ll see the exact amount before you pay—no hidden junk.
Who's Allowed to Apply Online?
Not every passport qualifies. Plenty of countries are on the list, but it’s smart to double-check eligibility before diving in. If your country isn’t eligible, you’ll need to go the old-school route through an embassy.
What documents do I need to apply online?
Standard processing time is typically between 1-3 business days. We also offer an express service for faster processing, usually within 24 hours. Upon approval, the visa is sent directly to your email
What You'll Need to Apply?

- A recent digital photo (the passport kind).
- A return or onward ticket.
Depending on the visa, they might ask for a couple extra things along the way.
